Prof. Dr. Jefferson Gomes Fernandes, the CEO of SPECIS, is a neurologist with experience in medical and health education, research, innovation, including telemedicine and digital health and health management.
Dr. Jefferson is an active member of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology (ABN), the American Association of Telemedicine (ATA), the International Society for Telemedicine and e-Health (ISfTeH), the Brazilian Society for Telemedicine and Telehealth (ABTms), and of the Advisory Committee of the Academic Telemedicine Network (RUTE/Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology). He is also President of the Board of Curators of the Global Summit – Telemedicine & Digital Health, an annual international meeting organized by the Medical Association of São Paulo.
In 2016, Dr Jefferson was awarded with the “100 Most Influent People in Health” prize in the “Health Innovation” category, in São Paulo, Brazil.
